Who we are
This website is operated by Perception Impex, a Detail still to be completed: ENTITY TYPE — sole proprietorship, partnership, or (Pvt) Limited registered in Pakistan under the name Detail still to be completed: REGISTERED LEGAL NAME, registration or NTN number Detail still to be completed: NTN / COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business, and “you” means anyone who visits this website or contacts us through it.
We are the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at:
Detail still to be completed: STREET ADDRESSDetail still to be completed: AREA / TOWN, KarachiDetail still to be completed: POSTAL CODE, Sindh, PakistanEmail: info@perceptionimpex.comPhone: +92-300-8209877We are a business-to-business yarn trading and sourcing company. This website is an information and enquiry site: it has no customer account area, no shopping basket, and it never asks for or processes payment card details.
What we collect
We only hold personal data that you give us, plus limited technical data about visits.
Sourcing and quote enquiries
If you use the quote request form, or contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive your name, company name, email address, phone and WhatsApp numbers, country, and the details of your requirement — yarn type, quantity, monthly volume, payment terms, and any message you write.
Career applications
If you apply through the careers page, we receive your full name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the programme and position you are applying for, your university, degree, year of study, CGPA, city, availability, any cover note, and your uploaded CV file, together with the record that you gave consent and the wording you agreed to.
We do not ask for your CNIC to apply. A national identity number is only needed once there is an offer to make, so we collect it at that stage instead of building a store of identity numbers belonging to people we will never contact again. Your CV is held in a private bucket that is not publicly readable and is seen only by the people assessing your application.
Technical and usage data
When you view a page we receive your IP address, browser and device type, the page you requested and the page you came from. We also record which contact buttons are used — see section 4.
We do not buy personal data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, these are the lawful bases we rely on.
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to a sourcing enquiry, quoting, and negotiating an order | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract |
| Supplying yarn and administering an order once placed | Performance of a contract |
| Assessing a career application and contacting shortlisted candidates | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and your consent to our holding the application (given by the tick box on the form) |
| Keeping trade, tax and accounting records | Compliance with a legal obligation |
| Protecting the careers form from bots and abuse | Our legitimate interest in keeping the site usable and secure, and in preventing fraud |
| Aggregate website analytics | Our legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful. You can opt out at any time — see section 4 |
| Sending occasional market or product updates | Your consent, given by the optional tick box on the quote form |
Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@perceptionimpex.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with the data before you withdrew it.
Website analytics and your opt-out
We use Google Analytics 4 in a cookieless configuration. It is set with client_storage: 'none', which stops it writing any cookie or other identifier to your device. This website sets no cookies of any kind — see our Cookie Policy for the full account.
Analytics still sends your IP address and browser details to Google, which is why it is covered here even though no cookie is involved. Google truncates the IP address before it is stored. Because no identifier is kept on your device, we cannot recognise you across visits or link your sessions together.
These are the only events we send, and none of them include anything you type:
| Event | When it is sent |
|---|---|
whatsapp_lead | A WhatsApp link is clicked. |
email_lead | An email link is clicked. |
phone_lead | A phone link is clicked. |
cta_click | A quote call-to-action is clicked. Records the button's own text, nothing you typed. |
quote_submit | The quote request form is submitted. No field values are sent. |
career_apply | The careers form is submitted. No field values are sent. |
Form field values — your name, email, phone number, message and CV — are never sent to Google. The submission events record only that a form was submitted.
You can turn analytics off entirely using the switch on our Cookie Policy page. Your choice is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us or to Google.
International transfers
We are based in Pakistan. Our service providers are based in the United States and elsewhere, so if you are in the UK, the European Economic Area, or another region with transfer restrictions, your data will be transferred outside it.
Pakistan has not been the subject of a UK or EU adequacy decision. Where those rules apply, we rely on the providers’ own transfer safeguards — Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, which each of the providers listed above incorporates into its terms — together with the data processing agreements we hold with them. You can ask us for details of the safeguards in place using the contact details in section 1.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we have a reason to.
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Quote and sourcing enquiries (email, WhatsApp, or the quote form) | For the length of the business relationship and up to 6 years afterwards, to cover trade, tax and accounting records. |
| Career applications, including CVs and CNIC numbers | 12 months from the date of application, unless you are hired or ask us to delete them sooner. |
| Rate-limiting records for the careers form | Hashed and automatically deleted after 48 hours. The hash is salted, so it cannot be turned back into an IP address. |
| Website analytics | Retained by Google under the property's configured retention period. No cookie or device identifier is stored on your device. |
When a retention period ends we delete the data or irreversibly anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your career application before the 12 months are up, and we will unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us to do any of the following. We honour these requests for everyone who asks, wherever you are, rather than only where a statute compels us to.
- Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure — have your data deleted where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
- Restriction — have us pause our use of your data while a dispute about it is resolved.
- Objection — object to processing we base on legitimate interests, including website analytics.
- Portability — receive data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.
Email info@perceptionimpex.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first so we do not disclose your data to someone else. Exercising these rights is free.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to your national supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
How we protect it
This site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, a strict Content Security Policy, and clickjacking and MIME-sniffing protections. Career applications are sent to a server-validated endpoint protected by a bot challenge, a honeypot field, and per-IP rate limiting, and uploaded CVs are stored in a private bucket that is not publicly readable. IP addresses used for rate limiting are salted and hashed, so those records cannot be turned back into a list of visitors.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data while it is in transit to us over the public internet. Please do not send us financial account details, passwords, or identity documents by email or WhatsApp.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and at university students and graduates applying for our programmes. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has given us personal data, email info@perceptionimpex.com and we will delete it.
Which laws apply
We operate from Pakistan, where the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 and general obligations of confidence apply. Pakistan has not yet enacted a comprehensive personal data protection statute; a Personal Data Protection Bill has been in draft for several years and is not in force. We have therefore written this policy to the standard of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, and we apply it to everyone, not only to visitors those laws cover.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and we are offering goods to you or monitoring your behaviour, the UK GDPR or GDPR applies to that processing directly, and this policy is intended to meet its transparency requirements.
If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not process the data of enough California residents to be a covered business under it. You may still make the requests set out in section 8, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our services change. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If we make a change that materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will contact you directly where we hold contact details for you.
